Rail Company operates railcompany.co. This page explains what information we collect, why, and what we do with it.

What we collect. When you place an order we collect your name, email address, shipping address, billing address, and phone number if you provide one. We never see or store your full card number. Payment details go directly to our payment processor.

When you browse the site, we automatically receive standard web data including your IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, and which pages you viewed. This comes from cookies and similar technologies.

If you subscribe to our newsletter we collect your email address and keep it until you unsubscribe.

Why we collect it. To process and ship your order, to send order confirmations and tracking, to respond when you contact us, to prevent fraud, and to understand how the site is used so we can improve it. If you have opted in, to send occasional emails about new releases.

Who we share it with. Our store runs on Shopify, which stores our data and processes orders on our behalf. Payments are handled by our payment processor. Shipping addresses go to USPS so your parcel can be delivered. We use Shopify's built in analytics. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone beyond what is needed to fulfil your order and run the store.

Cookies. Cookies are small files stored by your browser. We use them to keep your cart working between pages, to keep you logged in if you create an account, and to measure site traffic. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the site including checkout may stop working.

How long we keep it. Order records are kept for as long as we need them for tax and accounting purposes, generally seven years. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. You can ask us to delete anything not required by law.

Your rights. You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Depending on where you live you may have additional rights, including the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information. To make any request, email us and we will respond within 30 days.

Children. This store is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes. We may update this policy. The date at the top will change when we do.
